Nadia and Carol

Nadia Comaneci (Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej Now Onesti) Romanian Gymnast born 12 November 1961. She was the first Romanian to score a of 10 for the Olympic contest. Bela Karalyi discovered Comaneci in the age group of six. Later, she would become the gymnastics coach of Romania. Her first competition was at the national junior championships in 1969 and finished 13th. She was the winner in 1970. At her first international event in 1972 a pre-Olympic junior competition for communist-bloc nations she won three gold medals as well as in 1973 and 1974 she was the junior all-around champion. The athlete won four golds and one silver awards in her senior debut international competition that took place in 1975. This was her first time she participated as an adult. In 1976, she took home the American Cup at the New York City Olympics and became the first woman to ever dismount parallel bars and to use an inverse salto that doubled backward. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. Her career began in the entertainment industry during her teenage years when she was a figure skating duo with Nina Wayne and her twin sister Nina Wayne for the travelling entertainment show Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne is a United States citizen, born on the 6th of September 1942 in Chicago Illinois. Carol began her professional career in the entertainment business in her teens. She made her debut as a the figure skater who performed with her younger twin sister Nina Wayne as part of the shows that traveled around known as Ice Capades. They featured ice-skating performances that were accompanied by theatrical music.
