April Lockhart
April Lockhart, born in 1995 on the 4th of July, started taking piano and guitar lessons at age seven. The passion for writing songs was ignited. April Lockhart composed her very first song, Different at age of 12. She spent lots of time at 14 writing songs and practicing the music. Soon after she began taking journeys to write with her father in NY and LA. She also started to write about different topics related to some of her peers who are dealing with issues such as social pressure and teenage suicide as depicted in the song Take my Hand. Lockhart is a lifestyle and beauty influencer that has an ever-growing number of followers. She collaborates with famous brand Ilia together, as well as being an expert in the field of lifestyle. Her birth was without a hand on her left side and it's part of who she's become, but it's hardly her whole story. Lockhart doesn't deny her disability on her Instagram account but she doesn't concentrate on her account. What's the message? The message? We can all be multifaceted and the identities we have and our physical bodies don't always reflect what they appear. Lockhart with a short video message from Nashville's home, affirms that I don't wish to let this define me. I am more than my physical self. It doesn't impact my daily way of life. I go about your business in the normal way and have developed various ways to be able to cope. It's also part of me and I feel it's important that we talk about. Self-acceptance is a long marathon however Lockhart is an absolute inspiration regarding this issue. Lockhart has admitted that she's experienced periods when she felt insecure about the way she dressed and exposed her arms. Nowadays, she dresses anything she likes and uploads pictures of herself in these outfits on social networks with pride. The journey itself is the key thing I don't know when you will arrive, her self-love statement. It's a fact that I see with all people, regardless of what their fear may be. I think that having people with you who have a sense of who you are and understand your emotions is important since they'll be those who remind you What are you concerned about?
