Laura Linney is an American actor, who became famous for her portrayal of strong but vulnerable characters. Born to a well-known playwright's father, and being raised by a single mother who worked by working as a nurse. She was drawn to theatre when working with her father during the summer and eventually pursuing a degree in acting initially as a student at Brown University and then at Juilliard School. Following her graduation at Brown University in the year 2000, she began her Broadway debut shortly thereafter. After two years of the time, her debut film hit the market, and next year she made her television debut. She has appeared in innumerable movies, television shows as well as stage productions ever since. Throughout her professional career, she's received many awards, which includes two Golden Globe Awards and four Primetime Emmy Awards as well as three Academy Award nominations and five Tony Award nominations. In spite of all these accolades, her love for theatre remains in her, and she performs onscreen and onstage.
