Actor Katherine Heigl is opening up about how she was born into the "white bubble" and how this realization has affected how she parents her adopted multiracial children. Katherine Heigl, the "Firefly Lane" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" star shared in an interview recently that she was told that when it came to skin color -- it didn't matter to her the way she looked however, after speaking with her older sister who was adoptive to South Korea, she realized how different society treated the two of both. "I wanted to know Meg what she thought about being different when she went out with us parents than those who went out alone. Meg replied "Oh Yes! All the times!" Heigl told parents: "That was when I discovered how naive I caused me to feel." Her anger grew, and she decided to make use of her anger to help her adopted daughters. Heigl's husband Josh Kelley and their son Joshua Bishop Kelley Jr. 4 have been married for 13 years. They have adopted Nancy Leigh from South Korea at the age of 12 in 2009. followed by Adalaide whom was eight years old older and was Black in 2012.
